Durability and Repairability
The iPhone 17 Pro Max received a Class B durability score, withstanding 180 drops in drop tests.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Google Pixel 10 Pro XL received Class A ratings having survived 270 drops.
Apple was an improvement from the iPhone 16 Pro Max that received Class C after surviving just 90 drops.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max received a Class C in repairability, tying with Samsung but lagging behind Google Pixel’s Class B.
Battery and Energy Efficiency
Apple fared best in energy efficiency, where iPhone 17 Pro Max scored a Class A rating.
iPhone 17 Pro Max lasted for 53 hours, outpacing Galaxy S25 Ultra at 44 hours and Pixel 10 Pro XL at 48 hours.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has the longest battery life with 2,000 charge cycles, while iPhone and Pixel both score at 1,000 cycles.
In comparison to iPhone 16 Pro Max, the new device enhanced efficiency from Class B and longevity from 48 hours.
iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge

In spite of having a smaller 3,149 mAh battery, iPhone Air survived almost as long as Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3,900 mAh.
iPhone Air managed 40 hours, tied with Galaxy’s 40 hours 5 minutes, and earned a Class A rating for efficiency.
iPhone Air and Pro Max batteries both have a 1,000 cycle rating, whereas Samsung Edge boasts twice that at 2,000 cycles.
iPhone Air ranked Class B in durability with 180 drops, whereas Galaxy S25 Edge hit Class A at 270 drops.
Both phones received Class C in repairability, demonstrating minimal ease of repair compared to other, higher-rated phones.
