Government spokesperson Raja Ansari made the confirmation for a big initiative for students in Karachi, citing laptop distribution for free under a federal scheme.
The Prime Minister will launch the laptop program officially this December at Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi.
Ansari emphasized the federal government’s determination for Karachi, citing provision of facilities and coordination with Sindh for timely completion of projects.
He announced plans for 22 big development projects in Karachi worth 334 billion rupees in investments.
These initiatives have the objective of improving infrastructure and technology and increasing the chances for Karachi citizens.

Ansari commended Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori as a good influence on the political environment of Karachi.
While receiving scant political representation in Sindh, the federal government is continuing with ambitious Karachi development projects.
Ansari emphasized the strategy of cooperation rather than confrontation and was calling for team efforts with Sindh government and Karachi Mayor for progress.
As opposed to Jamaat-e-Islami, he pointed out, the federal agenda is aimed at cooperation, not political scoring.
The federal government’s approach is based on unity to provide sustainable growth and state-of-the-art facilities for Karachi.
